and Cathy now includes their son,
Buck, and his wife, Kelsey —
making this a hands-on family
legacy. With both indoor and
outdoor training spaces, every
dog is trained in real-world
settings and cared for like one of
our own.
Gun Dog Training
Randy’s passion for retriever training began in 1984 with his very first dog, Caleb. What started as one dog quickly grew into a lifelong commitment to developing high-quality gun dogs that work in true partnership with their handlers in the field. With decades of hands-on experience, Randy is known for producing reliable, driven, and steady working dogs. Today, he focuses exclusively on our Gun Dog Training and Raise-A-Pup Programs, ensuring each dog receives the highest level of foundation and field development.

Labrador Pups & Raise A Pup
Cathy has been a cornerstone of our operation since 1992. Hands-on from the very beginning, whether whelping puppies or throwing bumpers in the training field. In 1995, she developed our kennel obedience training programs, shaping the structure that still guides that training program today. Her dedication, intuition with dogs, and attention to detail helped build the reputation we proudly stand on.
Kelsey Hoffman
North Facility Owner & Training Specialist
Kelsey graduated from the University of South Carolina with a B.S. in Marketing and Management and a minor in Sport and Entertainment Management. After marrying into the Hoffman family in 2019, she quickly became an integral part of the family’s work with dogs. Kelsey brings a modern perspective to generations of hands-on experience, blending proven old-school methods with continuing education in the latest training techniques. Her approach focuses on finding practical, effective training methods that create reliable dogs while giving owners the tools and confidence to maintain those results at home.

Zailee Edwards
Zailee graduated from the University of South
Carolina with a B.S. in Psychology, bringing an
understanding of behavior and learning that
translates naturally into dog training.
Zailee was our waitress at a local restaurant,
where her work ethic, attitude, and attention to
detail quickly stood out to us. We liked her
enough that we created a position for her! Since
joining the team, Zailee has brought that same
drive and willingness to learn into her work
with the dogs, becoming a valued part of Beaver Creek Kennels.
